You no longer want to receive your Caseking order? Depending on the current processing status of your order, this may be handled either as an order cancellation (Stornierung) or as a withdrawal (Widerruf).
Although the outcome may seem similar, there is an important difference: withdrawal is a statutory consumer right under German law, while an order cancellation refers to stopping an order before it has been fully processed or shipped.
Cancelling an order (Stornierung)
An order cancellation may be possible if your order has not yet been shipped.
When you place an order, you initially submit a binding offer to enter into a purchase contract. According to our Terms and Conditions, Caseking may accept this offer within five days.
If you no longer want your order before it has been shipped, please contact us as soon as possible. We will check whether the order can still be stopped and cancelled.
Important: Since our orders are processed automatically and as quickly as possible, we cannot guarantee that an order cancellation will still be possible. If your order has already progressed too far in the fulfilment process or has already been shipped, we may no longer be able to stop it.
In this case, consumers can generally make use of their statutory right of withdrawal.
Withdrawing from a purchase (Widerruf)
The right of withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht) is a statutory consumer right under German law that applies to distance contracts, including eligible purchases made through our online shop.
As a consumer, you generally have the right to withdraw from an eligible contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
For goods, the withdrawal period generally begins on the day on which you, or a third party designated by you who is not the carrier, receives the last item of your order.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must clearly inform Caseking of your decision to withdraw from the contract. You can do this, for example, via our contact form, by email or by letter.

Cancellation or withdrawal – which applies to me?

You order a graphics card on Monday and shortly afterwards realise that you selected the wrong model.
The order has not yet been processed or shipped:
Contact us as soon as possible and request an order cancellation. If we are still able to stop the order, it can be cancelled.
The parcel has already been shipped:
Cancelling the shipment may no longer be possible. However, as a consumer, you can generally exercise your statutory right of withdrawal, provided that no legal exception applies.
Are there exceptions to the right of withdrawal?
Yes. The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply without exception to every product and contract.
One important exception may apply to goods that are not prefabricated and are made according to the consumer's individual specifications or are clearly personalised to meet the consumer's individual needs.
At Caseking, this may apply, for example, to certain individually configured or modified products. Our current Terms and Conditions specifically mention certain customised water-cooled PC systems and modified processors.
Other statutory exceptions may also apply depending on the type of product or contract.
In short
Order cancellation (Stornierung) = We try to stop your order while it is still being processed.
Withdrawal (Widerruf) = You exercise your statutory consumer right to withdraw from the contract within the applicable withdrawal period.
If your order has already progressed too far in the fulfilment process or has been shipped and therefore can no longer be cancelled, this does not automatically mean that you have to keep the goods.
As a consumer, you can generally exercise your statutory right of withdrawal, provided that the right applies to your purchase and no statutory exception applies.
